Sensitivity-Diversity Training
Cultivating an inclusive work environment is the goal of many organizations. Sensitivity training, which is also known as diversity training, can help employees learn the importance of empathy, respecting others, ADA diversity laws, and having a positive work environment.
In this course, participants will learn many concepts that have been regulated by state and federal laws. These laws are focused on gender identification, age, disability, race, and religion. There are several consequences for not following these laws, so it is beneficial to any organization to train their employees to avoid violating them.
Course Objectives:
- Understand sensitivity training and its helpfulness and obligation in the workplace.
- Recognize the benefits for self and the organization in practicing sensitivity goals and objectives.
- Effectively raise awareness of others.
- Understand the various types of stereotypes and their effects
- Examine Human Resource practices for dealing with matters connected with stereotypes.
- Understand the steps to deal with complaints related to sensitive issues and stereotypes.
- Explain the pros and cons of being “sensitive” to various concepts.
